“A Different World” is Not So Different From Our Lives After All

August 9, 2016 — Audience favorites Lisa Bonet and Jasmine Guy return as their beloved Cosby characters in the hit spin-off A Different World.

Set at a historically black college in the 1980s, A Different World is a ground-breaking sitcom for its time that does not shy away from social issues like race relations, HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy and marriage, date rape, domestic violence, police brutality and more. For perhaps the first time, young viewers – and particularly young black audiences – could see themselves and relevant issues affecting their lives portrayed on screen honestly, respectfully and always with good-natured humor.

Featuring The Cosby Show’s Lisa Bonet as well as Academy Award® winner Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Wrestler, Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Jada Pinkett Smith (The Nutty Professor, The Matrix series).

A Different World is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
