A Dysfunctional Childhood Leads to an Oceanside Murder Spree in “The Witch Who Came from the Sea”

September 22, 2017 —
Classic horror or an intense psychological drama about a woman’s descent into madness? You be the judge.

The Witch Who Came from the Sea stars Millie Perkins (The Diary of Anne Frank) as Molly, a woman who suffered intense sexual abuse by her father and subsequently grows up tormented and vengeful. She gets a job as a waitress at a local oceanside bar where she meets and seduces numerous seafaring men, culminating in a gruesome yet therapeutic murder spree. Can she be stopped, or will she avenge the childhood she was never allowed to have?

This 1970s video nasty mixes emotional turmoil with grisly violence, incredibly crafted by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13).

The Witch Who Came from the Sea is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
