Four Classic Comedies, Featuring Some Of Film’s Most Amusing Actors

Or four.

Here are four movies starring some of the world’s funniest actors.

Easy Money (1983): To inherit his mother-in-law’s colossal fortune, a hard living gambling addict (Rodney Dangerfield, Caddyshack) must change his unhealthy ways before it gets the best of him. The supporting cast includes Joe Pesci, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tom Ewell and Jeffrey Jones. Billy Joel wrote the title song.

Throw Momma from the Train (1987): A bitter ex-husband (Billy CrystalThe Princess Bride, Monsters, Inc.) and a put-upon momma’s boy (Danny DeVito, L.A. Confidential, Batman Returns) want their respective spouse and mother dead. But who will pull it off? Directed by Danny DeVito.

Blame It on Rio (1984): Two old friends (Michael Caine and Joseph Bologna) vacation together in Rio de Janeiro with their teenage daughters (Demi Moore and Michelle Johnson). However tempers flair when a web of love and lies sees the men falling for each other’s daughters. Directed by Stanley Donen.

The Woman in Red (1984): On his way to work, Teddy spots Charlotte – an incredibly beautiful woman in red. He really wants to meet her, but what would his wife say? Starring and directed by the late, great Gene Wilder. Kelly Le Brock, Gilda Radner, Charles Grodin, Joseph Bologna and Judith Ivey costar and Stevie Wonder wrote the score, which includes the song “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” which won the Academy Award® for Best Song.
