July 6, 2016 — Everybody says they want to do something to fix the world, but how many people actually try?

Turk Pipkin created the Nobelity Project, a non-profit education and action group which seeks to bring the best and most creative minds in the world together to try to come up with solutions to the big problems facing the world, with an emphasis on those confronting the world’s children.

While filming One Peace at a Time, Pipkin traveled to 20 countries around the world, looking for answers, primarily in the areas of water, nutrition, education, health care, opportunity, environment and peace.

The film shows the work of the model Indian orphanages of The Miracle Foundation, family planning initiatives through Thailands Mechai Viravaidya, Ethiopian water projects with A Glimmer of Hope, and Architecture for Humanity’s design challenge for communities in need in the Himalayas, the Amazon and the slums of Nairobi.

With the help and inspiration of Muhammad Yunus (Nobel Peace Prize), Steve Chu (Nobel Prize in Physics and President Obamas Secretary of Energy) & Desmond Tutu (Nobel Peace Prize) with Helene Gayle (CEO of CARE, International), he sets out to come up with viable solutions to global issues.

The journey is also a musical one, featuring the music of Jack Johnson, The Band, Explosions in the Sky, Bob Schneider, Cat Stevens and an appearance by Willie Nelson.

One Peace at a Time is available on Blu-Ray and DVD.
